Construction Énergie Renouvelable (CER)—a consortium formed by EBC Inc., TCI+ (a VINCI Energies subsidiary) and LFG Construction—is pleased to be building the future Apuiat wind farm in Québec’s Côte‑Nord (North Shore) region, 40 km west of Port‑Cartier. Boralex and the Apuiat society (made up of eight Innu communities) selected CER for its extensive wind power expertise, particularly on remote, rugged bedrock sites. The consortium will construct more than 75 km of roads and 115 km of collector network, as well as the foundations and assembly of 34 wind turbines standing 119 m tall, enabling the production of approximately 200 MW of electricity.
Since 2008, CER has erected more than 1,000 wind turbines across about twenty wind farms in Québec and Ontario, and intends to continue contributing actively to the development of this clean, renewable energy in the years ahead. CER is proud to be a major partner on this large‑scale project for Innu communities and the people of the Côte‑Nord. The project will provide the region with a long‑term source of clean energy and will be the first wind farm on the Côte‑Nord. More than 300 jobs will be created during the construction phase, which will run through fall 2024.
